Smith Calls Rodgers 'Childish' for His Latest Comments About Jets
Stephen A. Smith went on another rant Wednesday about Aaron Rodgers, this time criticizing the Green Bay Packers quarterback's comments about the New York Jets. Smith claims Rodgers's comments show he is "acting like a child."
Rodgers raised eyebrows with his recent remarks on ESPN's "First Take" in which he said he doesn't view the Jets as a legitimate contender. Smith took exception to these comments, saying Rodgers is simply trying to get attention.
Smith: Rodgers Isn't Serious About Playing This Season
Smith even suggested that Rodgers may not be serious about playing in the NFL this season. He pointed to Rodgers's recent comments about his future and his decision to skip the Packers' mandatory minicamp.
"I don't think he's serious about playing this season," Smith said. "He's just trying to create drama and get attention. He's acting like a child."
Rodgers has not publicly responded to Smith's comments. The Packers are scheduled to open their regular season on Sept. 11 against the Minnesota Vikings.
