Personal life

Eleanor May Leach is an English actress. Born on 17th June 1999, she studied PE, drama, and dance at St. Peter's RC High School in her hometown of Wigan, Greater Manchester. Before her acting career, Leach was a dancer, competing in festivals and competitions alongside taking part in local pantomimes and amateur dramatics.

Career

Leach has been playing the role of Faye Windass in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street since 2011. She has also appeared in the BBC drama Moving On, the ITV drama Butterfly, and the Channel 4 reality show Ackley Bridge. In 2019, she was a contestant on the BBC celebrity dance show Strictly Come Dancing, where she finished in 9th place. Leach's other acting credits include the 2017 film Belladonna and the 2019 film The Corrupted. She is known for her many award wins and nominations for Corrie

Current projects

In 2023, Leach is set to play the role of Ella in the upcoming Churchill Theatre production of Educating Rita. She will star alongside Jason Durr, who is best known for his roles in Heartbeat, Emmerdale, and Casualty. Educating Rita is a play by Willy Russell that tells the story of a working-class hairdresser who decides to take an Open University course in English literature. The Churchill Theatre production will be directed by Adam Penford.
