Anne Hathaway Plays a Single Mom Who Falls for a Pop Star

Nicholas Galitzine Co-Stars as the Lead Singer of a Boy Band

Amazon Prime Video is set to release a new romantic drama called "The Idea of You," starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine. Hathaway plays Solène Marchand, a 40-year-old single mom and business owner who falls for Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), the lead singer of a boy band. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Robinne Lee.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, Hathaway said that she was drawn to the role of Solène because she is a complex and relatable character. "She's a single mom who is trying to do the best she can for her daughter," Hathaway said. "She's also a successful businesswoman, but she's still trying to figure out who she is and what she wants out of life."

Galitzine said that he was excited to play the role of Hayes because he is such a different character from the ones he has played in the past. "He's a rock star, but he's also a really good guy," Galitzine said. "He's not arrogant or entitled, and he's really passionate about his music."

"The Idea of You" is set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on September 23, 2023.
